Set 9,200 feet above sea level on Colorado’s Uncompahgre Plateau, Cornerstone spans 4,800 acres of wild, open terrain between Montrose and Telluride. Signature Experiences
Golf takes center stage at Cornerstone, home to a Greg Norman and Matt Dusenberry-designed championship course that Golf Magazine has called one of the best high-altitude courses in the nation, and quite possibly the world. Set at 9,200 feet and played through aspen groves and sagebrush meadows, the course is joined by a new Himalayan putting green, and a second championship course is already taking shape nearby, one that will bring Cornerstone to 36 holes in total.
Beyond the fairway, more than 30 miles of on-property trails connect to hundreds of miles of public land for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, with a private lake for fishing and swimming just steps from the clubhouse. A wilderness spa and thermal village is on the way, along with an expanded clubhouse, pool, and indoor performance center with racquet sports, fitness and golf simulators, and forty miles away, Crest Club extends the Cornerstone experience into the heart of Telluride.
Location & Access
Cornerstone sits between Montrose and Telluride, with Montrose Regional Airport, Colorado’s second busiest, offering nonstop commercial service from about a dozen major cities and a short drive to the property. Full-service FBOs support private aviation at both Montrose and Telluride. From here, the hot springs of Ouray, the artisan village of Ridgway, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park are all close by, framed by the San Juan Mountains and Cimarron Ridge, with a million acres of Uncompahgre National Forest at the doorstep.
